Spotlight Choreographer/Camp Leader/Box Office Staff
The position is multi-faceted and will entail work leading day camps with several different age groups of First Nations students from Millbrook and other musical theatre & drama camps as well as working in the Marigold Cultural Centre in the Box Office and many other day to day duties as required.
The following skill sets are required…
Act as a camp leader by:
Creating a positive atmosphere, a structured learning environment, and by establishing clear expectations for student behaviour.
Helping to make camp a fun experience for students by facilitating warmups, ice breaker activities, and skill building drama games as needed.
Coach students constructively to enhance their performance, and develop their performance skills.
Supervise students at all times including lunch hour and breaks.
Act as Box Office Assistant by:
Working with the public selling tickets and answering inquiries
Updating marketing material
Computer skills an asset
Answering phones and handling cash
Students applying must:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age
Have been registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year
Intend to return to school on a full-time basis during the next calendar year
Be a student in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program
Be a Canadian citizen, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Be legally entitled to work according to provincial legislation and regulations
