Accessibility at the Marigold

The Marigold Cultural Centre and Cobequid Arts Council are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. Our work is ongoing, but this is what we have done so far:

  • Our main entrance is equipped with automatic door buttons, and all of our facilities can be found on the ground floor. This includes our box office, concessions area, washrooms, theatre, workshop, the MMFI Art Gallery, and the Truro Sports Hall of Fame. We also have a reserved accessible parking space.

  • We have four seats inside the theatre reserved for wheelchairs or persons with mobility issues.  Should you require an accessible seat, please contact the box office [(902) 897-4004] in advance of the performance.

  • There is an accessible, gender-neutral washroom connected to our lobby.

  • We have a wheelchair stored on site if anyone needs it, just ask our staff.

  • Since July 2025, alternative text (alt text) has been added to our photos and social media posts to support screen readers and patrons with visual impairments.

We are always looking for ways that we can improve our accessibility for others. If you have any feedback you would like to share with us, please fill out our short survey below, or contact us.
