Emerging from the rich cultural landscape of their Wabanaki homeland in New Brunswick, The Hello Crows are a powerful Indigenous collective whose music blends traditional and contemporary influences with heartfelt storytelling and deep community connection.

Formed in 2022 when Judie Acquin, Quinn Bonnell, Mattie Comeau, and Dylan Ward first performed together at a Wabanaki Songwriter Circle, the group’s chemistry was immediate. Their debut single, “Come Back to Me,” released on July 1, 2024, became an anthem for language reclamation—reaching the Top 10 on the National Indigenous Music Chart and earning Song of the Year at the 2025 Music·Musique New Brunswick Awards.

Following a string of standout performances at Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Area 506, and Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, and two annual fundraising performances on National Truth and Reconciliation Day, The Hello Crows released their self-titled debut album on September 30, 2025. Recorded at Shiftwork Recording in Fredericton and released through Castle Records—the Maritimes’ first Indigenous record label, founded by Tristan Grant (Wolf Castle)—the album features singles “Warbler,” “Red Flag,” and “Let ’Em Come Home.”

With four distinct voices united in purpose, The Hello Crows are an inspiring new force in Canadian music—celebrating Indigenous identity, storytelling, and the unbreakable connection between music and culture.
