Since September 2013, the members of Cy mix harmonies and guitar strings to create French music of the past and present. With three guitars and four voices, this Moncton-based Nova Scotian groupe has managed to unite folk, progressive and traditional styles to create a warm and harmonious sound.
Cy stands out for its harmonies and contagious sense of humor that has charmed listeners from one end of Acadie to the other.
Here is the first mini-album, a collection of original compositions that continues to leak in the French-language maritime media. The five tracks on the album are the product of musical research inspired by the traditional melodies and tales that are still heard in Baie Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia.
