(March 3, 2026 – Halifax/Kjipuktuk) Music Nova Scotia is thrilled to announce that this year’s Nova Scotia Music Week (NSMW) will take place in Truro/We’kwampekitk from November 12-15, 2026. Now in its 29th year, NSMW invites music fans across the province and beyond back to the Hub of Nova Scotia for the first time in five years to celebrate Nova Scotia’s world-class artists and music industry professionals, with four days of music festival performances, conference programming, and an annual awards ceremony.
“As a newly established Destination Marketing Organization, the Central Nova Scotia Tourism Development Society is proud to welcome Nova Scotia Music Week back in partnership with Music Nova Scotia and the Marigold Cultural Centre,” says Nick Sharpe, Executive Director of the Central Nova Scotia Tourism Development Society. “The return of NSMW after five years is more than an event announcement; it represents the power of partnership, creativity, and community. We are excited to welcome artists, delegates, and music fans from across the province and beyond to experience Central Nova Scotia at its very best.”
“It is a true joy to bring Nova Scotia Music Week back home to Truro. In my inaugural year leading the Marigold, I’ve seen firsthand how much this town thrives on art and connection. Hosting this event isn't just about the music; it’s about the energy, the stories, and the vibrant creative spirit that defines Nova Scotia. We are honored to be a part of the soundtrack for this year’s festivities," says André Myette, Executive Director of The Marigold Cultural Centre
"It’s been five years since NSMW has been in Truro and it’s long overdue - we’re delighted to be back," says Allegra Swanson, Executive Director of Music Nova Scotia.
